William Hartery Is an NYC transplant, originally from NH. He’s a professional actor, musician, teacher of voice/piano/acting, and member of Actors Equity Association. He studied musical theatre at Shenandoah University, and NYU Tisch School of the Arts. William has toured nationally as Gus/Growltiger/Bustopher Jones in Webber’s Cats and internationally with Disney Cruise Lines, where he originated the role of Hades in Disney’s first all villains musical, Villains Tonight! His regional theatre credits include the Walnut St. Theatre, PA, Theatre Under the Stars, TX, TheatreZone, FL, Ogunquit Playhouse, ME, Westchester Broadway, NY, Fulton Opera House, PA, Palace Theatre, NH, and more. Some of his favorite roles include Max Bialystock in The Producers, Valjean in Les Miserables, Gomez in The Addams Family, the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz, Cogsworth in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, and Nicely Nicely Johnson in Guys & Dolls. William has also been teaching voice, piano, and theatre, as well as directing for the past 15 years with such organizations as The New Thalian Players, Stage One Productions, and Arts Project 21 in NH, North Raleigh Arts and Creative Theatre, and William Peace University in NC, as well as years of private in home lessons. William’s joy and passion for the performing arts is contagious, and he loves helping young artists discover and develop their own skills and talent.
